In 74
we form the Takê group, meaning bamboo in Japanese, at a fishermen's
village not far from Salvador in Brazil.
We make
sculpture from Nature's rejected materials, most formerly part of living beings:
bamboo, bones shells, seeds, drftwood, etc.
This
was of course before "Industrial Consumption Inc" filled our
world with its vomit.
I explore,
in addition
to
Form,
Sound,
divested
from
western
academic
constraints.
